- 2:00 PM2hPride Center: Spring Rainbow GraduationThe Pride Center, in collaboration with the department of Queer Studies, welcomes our graduating LGBTQIA+ graduates and Queer Studies minors for a celebration of your pivotal achievement. The event will kick off with opening remarks from University leadership and students. This will be followed by a performance featuring Nur Fahlevi Pratama and other fellow students. Graduates will also be presented with a rainbow sash they can wear with pride at commencement!Nur Fahlevi Pratama (he/they) is an Indonesian composer, conductor, singer and pianist based in Los Angeles, California. Growing up, they were inspired by Javanese Gamelan music, and since their arrival in the US in 2012, have studied at CSU Northridge, Berklee College of Music and The Juilliard School. They have subsequently been granted recognitions by Thrive Foundation of Berklee, the Aurelio De La Vega Music Composition Scholarship, the Dr. Robert W. Wienpahl Scholarship and The Colburn Foundation. As an artist, they have had the privilege of being under the tutelage of Dr. David Connors, DME, Voice Professor Emeritus of CSU Los Angeles, before continuing their studies with established composers Andrew List (Berklee College of Music), Ray Lustig, Jake Landau, Daniel Felsenfeld (Juilliard Evening Division), Liviu Marinescu, Patrick O’Malley and Elizabeth Sellers (CSU Northridge).Registration is open now and closes Sunday, April 30.
