Sundial Sports Podcast: March Madness Special
Welcome to the “March Madness Special” of the “Sundial Sports Podcast.” We have made it a ritual to do podcasts only for special occasions. Our first one of the semester was the “Super Bowl Special,” and we will record our third one around the start of the NBA and NHL playoffs. I, Edward Segal, am back, along with Lyle Yoergler and Michael Dumansky, who were with us last episode. We also welcome back Luis Silva, who joined us for a few episodes last semester.
March Madness is a time when anything can happen. No. 16 seeds can upset No. 1 seeds and Cinderella teams can make a run to the final four. We recorded this episode on day one of the round of 64, which saw 13th-seeded Furman upset fourth-seeded Virginia, and 15th-seeded Princeton upset second-seeded Arizona. In this podcast episode, we discussed these bracket-busting results, debated which teams we think will make it to the championship game, and gave our predictions for the rest of the tournament.
