CRIME REPORT: Man exposed himself in Maple Hall
Below are the crime logs provided by the CSUN Department of Police Services for the week of Oct. 5 to Oct. 11.
Sunday, Oct. 5

Monday, Oct. 6

Between Sept. 30 and Oct. 6, unknown suspect(s) reportedly cut a victim’s locks and stole two bicycles at the Physical Plant Management Yard.
A marker was used by an unknown suspect to write graffiti in a women’s restroom in Sequoia Hall.
At 1:41 p.m., a suspect was arrested by CSUN officers for resisting a peace officer in Parking Lot F2.
At 10:38 p.m., CSUN officers arrested two people for assaulting each other in Building 11 of the University Park Apartments.
Tuesday, Oct. 7
At 12:04 a.m., CSUN officers arrested a suspect for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful paraphernalia and an outstanding warrant at Police Services.
At 7:45 a.m., a dispenser was broken in a hallway of the Art and Design Center by an unknown suspect.
Between 8:23 a.m. and 9:45 a.m., a secured electric scooter was stolen by an unknown suspect at Nordhoff Hall.
At 1:52 p.m., CSUN officers arrested a suspect for stealing a person’s flag during a protest at the Sierra Quad.
At 2:30 p.m., a person was assaulted during the same protest by a known suspect at the Sierra Quad. The victim did not press charges.
Between 11:30 p.m. and 11:50 p.m., an electric scooter was stolen by an unknown suspect at Geronimo’s.
Wednesday, Oct. 8

Black marker was reportedly used by an unknown suspect to write graffiti in men’s restrooms at both the University Library and The Soraya.
At 9:55 a.m., an unknown suspect struck a pedestrian with a vehicle in Parking Structure B3. The suspect left without exchanging information with the victim.
Between Oct. 7 and Oct. 8, a parked vehicle was hit by an unknown suspect’s vehicle in Parking Structure G9. The suspect left without reporting the collision.
Between 2 p.m. and 4:45 p.m., a secured electric scooter was reportedly stolen by an unknown suspect at The Soraya.
Between Sept. 24 and Oct. 3, a known suspect stole a person’s laptop at Manzanita Hall.
Between 11:29 a.m. and 12:26 p.m., a secured electric scooter was reportedly stolen by an unknown suspect at Bookstein Hall, with a second report being made about a second stolen scooter between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the same location.
On Sept. 18, an unknown suspect stole a person’s keychain at the Student Recreation Center.
Thursday, Oct. 9

At 12:37 a.m., an unknown suspect pulled the fire alarm in Building 3 of the University Park Apartments. There was no fire present.
At 11:32 a.m., CSUN officers arrested a suspect for violating a seven-day stay-away order at Parking Structure B3. The suspect was not a student.
On Oct. 7, an unknown suspect stole a person’s paper form at the Sierra Tower.
At 5:20 p.m., an unknown male suspect exposed himself to a person in Maple Hall.
Black marker was used by an unknown suspect to write graffiti in a men’s restroom in Citrus Hall.
Friday, Oct. 10

On Oct. 9, the campus CCTV system captured an unknown suspect stealing a secured electric bicycle at building 6 of the University Park Apartments. Between 10:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m., an unknown suspect stole a secured electric scooter at the University Library. At 3:36 p.m., an unknown suspect stole a secured electric scooter at Maple Hall.
Saturday, Oct. 11
At 11:15 p.m., a male suspect fled the scene after CSUN officers stopped him on Lassen St. and White Oak Ave. for reckless driving on a highway.
