Matador Student-Athletes of the Week - Jan. 9
Each week during the 2022-23 season, GoMatadors.com selects two Matadors as Student-Athletes of the Week. This week, we highlight Women's Basketball's Jordyn Jackson and Men's Volleyball's Kyle Hobus for their performances on the court.
Jordyn Jackson, Women's Basketball
Jordyn Jackson averaged 13.0 points, 5.0 assists, and 4.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Matadors. Jackson then scored a team-high 14 points in the Matadors' 53-52 loss to UC Riverside. Jackson added five assists and five rebounds against the Highlanders.
With 26 points last week, Jackson raised her career point total to 937 points and is closing in on becoming the 14th CSUN player to score 1,000 points in a career.
