NCOD: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services supports CSUN’s students, faculty and staff who are Deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind through communication access services such as interpreting and transcribing, and it provides media captioning for campus instructional media. NCOD also supports students through academic advising, leadership opportunities, scholarships and select direct communication classes while fostering an active and supportive Deaf community on campus. There are about 150 Deaf and hard-of-hearing students at CSUN each year – the largest nationwide enrollment at a mainstream university! If you’re applying to CSUN as a Deaf, hard-of-hearing or deafblind student, be sure to fill out NCOD’s supplemental application after submitting your Cal State Apply application.
