The Michael D. Eisner College of Education, named in honor of a former head of the Walt Disney Co., prepares teachers, counselors, administrators and other professionals to serve the diverse educational needs of the region and beyond. CSUN is one of California’s leading public universities in preparing future teachers, and Rebecca Mieliwocki, honored as a National Teacher of the Year, earned her teaching credentials right here. The college offers 27 credential programs and one undergraduate major, which is Deaf Studies. CSUN’s Deaf Studies program is one of only a few comprehensive undergraduate Deaf Studies programs in the nation.
