The two-year mark of the conflict in Gaza sparked demonstrations at CSUN from both sides of the movement. Over 100 pro-Palestinian and pro-Israeli students walked out of their classes and gathered in front of the Library, where they each marked the tragedy differently. Pro-Israeli students mourned the lives lost on October 7, 2023, while pro-Palestinian students called for divestment and honored ‘two years of resistance.’ The division across the campus lawn was clear, with a physical altercation taking place between two protestors, ending in an arrest.
