CSUN Athletics Celebrates Black History Month
NORTHRIDGE, Calif, - Every February, CSUN Athletics joins the rest of the country to celebrate Black History Month and honor the achievements and contributions of past and present Matador African-American student-athletes, coaches, staff, and administrators.
We also reflect on the advancements toward racial equality and the continued fight for racial justice. The NCAA commits to acknowledge and celebrate all student-athletes. As such, we honor the contributions of generations of Black and African American athletes on and off the field.
As we wrap up Black History Month, CSUN Athletics looks back at February as GoMatadors.com asked various current student-athletes to commemorate the month by answering the following questions:
- Who do you look up to?
- What does Black History Month mean to you?
- What can student-athletes do to celebrate Black History Month?
- What inspires you as a student-athlete
- What is the best thing about being a student-athlete?
